This option works well if you know the real estate market and are comfortable with contracts and are able to do the work on your own. You will need to have the showings, open houses, perform the advertising, and answer all the questions that may come up. It is a way to save money if you are able to complete the transaction.

The third option is to work with an investment company that buys houses. These companies are not just for struggling homeowners or houses in bad condition but they can buy any house for a fair price. Not only will they buy a house with cash but they will do it quickly. This can allow you to move on to the next phase of your life with cash in hand and no worries behind you. In reality, the fair price may not be your full asking price but in any of the selling scenarios and ways to sell a house will you likely get your full asking price. You have to decide how much time plays a part in your goal to sell the house.
